I'm looking for the exact width/height of Dell's 3007fpw and the 30" cinema display. Without the stand, but including the beezle. If anyone can take a ruler to theirs I'd appreciate it. I can swing by the apple store, but I doubt the Dell kiosk at the mall has a 3007fpw on display.

30" Cinema Display - 18" tall without stand.

Any word on the 3007fpw? I'd really appreciate it.

Crap! I knew I was forgetting something. I set a couple reminders for myself too. I'll try to get that tonight...

Basically you want vertical length between the outside edges of the bezel?

Yup, exactly. We're going to mount three of them in the portrait orientation, and need to know how much wall space we need. The cinema displays extend about an inch and a half beyond the edge of the wall/column. The Dell displays are cheaper, have better specs, and we can get complete care on them - so if they're within an inch we'll go with them.

The Dell 3007WFP is exactly 17.75" tall. Looks like it wins in another category

The dimensions you wanted are on the 3007WFP datasheet...

How did you find that datasheet? It seems to be from dell in the UK, and it's got the model name wrong.

I went to the Dell UK website and clicked the "New Dell 30" Flat Panel Monitor", "Small Business" and finally "Click here to see full product details". I'm in the UK so I go to the UK site. As for the model code, that is correct. It is how it appears on the Dell website in multiple places. The other LCDs have FPW but the 30" LCD is WFP.

Wow, I don't know how I missed that. I noticed it when it was still a rumor, but thought I'd read something about it actually being called a 3007fpw once it was released. I must have made that up.

Can anyone explain why in the hell they would bother to change from fpw to wfp?

I'd have expected them to use FPW as well. If it wasn't for the fact it is on the Dell website, I would have thought it was a typo. Maybe it is a typo and they couldn't be bothered to change all the misprinted packaging?

I assume the boring reason is that they've changed it to "Widescreen Flat Panel" instead of "Flat Panel - Widescreen" because you don't get a non widescreen one.

For some random reason, that datasheet isn't on the US site. Strange.
